Welcome to our live coverage from The Masters leaderboard as players vie for a green jacket at Augusta National. Rory McIlroy leads on 12 under par with Bryson DeChambeau a shot back, but there is a pack of hungry contenders behind them including 2018 champion Patrick Reed and Corey Conners both four shots off the lead, with Ludvig Aberg, Scottie Scheffler and one-time major winner Shane Lowry all one shot further back.
McIlroy hits a superb drive over the corner of the par-four 9th and plays a brilliant wedge from 87 yards to spin off the back bank down towards the cup, then holes his birdie putt to move four clear at the top. DeChambeau lays up from the trees on the left of the green at the same spot and makes not his finest chip, but he holes his par putt to stay within two shots of McIlroy.
There is an exhilarating pace at the top of The Masters, with McIlroy and DeChambeau going head to head for the first time in this event. The Northern Irishman blasts a massive iron off the tee at the first and takes a two-shot lead before losing it back at the 2nd when the American carries the right bunker with his approach. They are level at the 13th, but McIlroy loses three shots in Amen Corner with a double bogey at the 14th and a bogey at the 16th. He regains the lead at the 17th with an excellent two-putt from off the green, but falls back again when he misses the par putt at the 18th.
