World Series Highlights

The World Series is an epic event with a history of great stories, memorable moments and some of the most exciting finishes in baseball. The first two games were played in New York before the teams crossed the bridge to San Francisco for Game 3. The highlight of the game was the two-run home run by Yankees slugger Aaron Judge in the bottom of the second inning. The blast went 403 feet into the right field seats, transforming Yankee Stadium into a bobbing sea of bedlam.

The game was a back-and-forth affair with the teams knotted at 2-2 through nine innings. But it was the ninth that featured the biggest moment in Series history. Freddie Freeman came up with runners on first and third and one out. All eyes were on his next swing. It looked like a routine ground ball, but when it rolled into the right-field corner, everyone in the stadium was sure it had gone foul. Then Carlton Fisk waved his arms towards the fair zone. The ball listened, bounced and landed fair, tying the game and sending it to extra innings.

It was a wild night, but it was just the beginning of the weirdness that defined this year’s World Series.
