NFL Draft 2025

A good fantasy draft requires a certain amount of luck — the health of your team, for starters. However, landing the high-volume anchors of iffy offenses can be an underrated consolation. Alvin Kamara and Breece Hall come to mind as 2024 PPR RB9s on bad teams. That’s why savvy owners can use the NFL draft to make up for a shaky offseason by filling in with low-round fliers who have the potential to produce big numbers for their new teams.

From a statistical standpoint, the Bills’ first two picks appear to have high upside and low risk. Taking the top-rated defensive back in Maxwell Hairston gives Buffalo a reliable option at corner, while second-round running back Ashton Jeanty should catalyze what was among the league’s worst rushing attacks in 2024.

The Buccaneers’ big move in the opening round – snagging Emeka Egbuka at nineteen overall – was met with some hate, but I think it makes sense. With Mike Evans and Chris Godwin getting older, securing a quality backup is an essential piece of any offense, and Egbuka is the best option available in this draft class.

Tampa Bay also stocked up in the middle rounds, adding a splashy pure center (Jared Wilson) and run-stuffing DT Joshua Farmer, along with twitchy edge rusher Bradyn Swinson. They also boosted their skill position with second-round WR TreVeyon Henderson and cat-quick Kyle Williams, giving QB Drake Maye some playmakers to work with.
